Effective Communicaton
I chose my multi-genre project to represent Effective Communication. This is one of my all time favorite assignments! In English 10, we learned about poetry, and all of the different kinds of format. Along with that, we also learned and read multiple short stories. We analyzed the poetry very carefully to see if we could mimic their flow. I chose my topic to be writing because I absolutely adore writing! I love how you are able to create a world and no one can tell you what you can and can't do with that world! In WRITING you will find many different styles of poetry and even a short story or two! We were free to make up poems that reflect us, so I wrote a poem about how enticing books are. I used my favorite hobby to create part of an assignment that I absolutely adore.

Critical Thinking
I chose my Ad Hominem to be my example for Critical Thinking. I had Logical Fallacies, a logical fallacy refers to an error in reasoning. As you can see, one goose is saying that they are closely related to ducks because they evolved from a common ancestor. While the other goose is reprimanding him about being close-minded and stupid. The last little part about eating corn is an attack on the Goose's character. Appealing to feeling or prejudices rather than intellect is the key to understanding Logical Fallacies. I chose this particular ad because not only does it represent what logical fallacies are, but also because this type of example analyzes my main objective-which is getting the point across about how logical fallacies are an attack on a persons character.
Integration and application of knowledge in civic, social, and personal contexts
I chose my Clinical Depression PowerPoint to be my example of my Application of Knowledge in Civic, Social and Personal Contexts. When I was researching depression, more specifically looking at the symptoms, I realized I had most if not all of them. I had been denying that I had depression since about ninth grade. But seeing the symptoms listed in my Health Textbook finally broke me, I had to come to terms and accept I was indeed depressed. I was holding back tears the entire time I was presenting in my health class, and in doing so it inspired me to put feelings into my presentation. I made sure that the students knew how and when depression sets in and most importantly, how to identify the symptoms. This PowerPoint prompted me to get help and I can proudly say that I am doing much better than tenth grade!
